Acrylic Panels in Pool or Spa
We love the look of acrylic walls in swimming pools and so do our homeowners. Here is one example of a pool we built and the challenges that come with building custom swimming pools.
- It took coordination to make a 2.5” thick piece of acrylic fit perfectly into slots within columns while maintaining structural integrity and preventing leaks. We had to coordinate with a structural engineer and the acrylic manufacturer in order to make it work properly. The acrylic had to be craned in over the house because of the weight.
- With a vanishing edge on the front three sections of the pool and a negative edge along the back, it was imperative that the pool is perfectly level and to have the water filtration set up specifically so that water evenly flows over each wall.
