Small Backyard Design Orange County

If you do not have a large backyard, then consider having a small backyard retreat. You do not need to have an expansive backyard to have a nice small backyard design that meets your needs. Let’s work with what you have!

A large pool is most likely out of the question if you’re tight on space, but other options include a small pool, spool, or large spa. We have designed and constructed several beautiful spa only backyards. Your spa or small pool does not have to be boring! There are plenty of ways to make the design unique and to include fun elements like waterfalls.

Here are a few custom design elements to add to your small pool or spa:

  • Waterfall or other water features.
  • Zero-edge (water is level with the deck and looks like it runs right into it).
  • Acrylic wall or window – this look is just gorgeous, see the square acrylic spa shown above. It is just dreamy.
  • Deck jets.
  • Swim jet – this is a great option if you enjoy swimming laps, but do not have space for a lap pool. The swim jet allows you to swim laps by staying in place!
  • Landscaping – the surrounding landscape makes such a HUGE impact on your overall backyard design. Adding pots of succulents or in-ground landscape around your pool or spa finishes off the look of your small backyard retreat.
  • Lighting – LED color lights in the spa or pool and surrounding landscape lighting adds to the ambiance in the evening.
  • Decorative wall for a focal point.

In addition to a spa or swimming pool, there are many other elements that we can add to your small backyard design:

It’s all about figuring out your priorities and working with an expert to design a solution for your small backyard retreat. We want to maximize the usability of the space you have while giving you flexibility in how you use the space.

Right now (fall) is a great time to get started on your backyard retreat!
