Acrylic Pool with Vanishing Edge

This raised, overflow pool features glass walls (acrylic) so that you can see right into the pool from outside. This pool has a very modern look with straight-clean lines, square columns and LED lights along the acrylic pool walls. In the bar area, there is an acrylic wall and steel bar stools in the pool. It took coordination to make a 2.5” thick piece of acrylic fit perfectly into slots within columns while maintaining structural integrity and preventing leaks. The acrylic had to be craned in over the house because of the weight.

With a vanishing edge on the front three sections of the pool and a negative edge along the back, it was imperative that the pool be perfectly level and to have the water filtration set up precisely so that water evenly flows over each wall. The water that flows over the front, goes into a trough that ties into to the back negative edge basin where water recirculates the pool.

The lounging deck overhands the pool and has a freestanding cover so that the view is not disrupted. A piece of artwork at the back completes the look for this modern elegant swimming pool.
